Paint Markers
An outstanding range of professional water-based acrylic markers. Lightfast and permanent, they are available in 50 vibrant colours in 2mm & 15mm sizes that match across the Liquitex colour spectrum. This broad spectrum includes opaque colours as well as transparents, fluorescents and iridescents to offer limitless possibilities. The nib shape provides the flexibility to achieve multiple line thicknesses and the high quality replaceable nibs ensure precision control. They have been specially developed for maximum compatibility with other Liquitex products.
Inks
The Professional Acrylic Ink range consists of extremely fluid acrylic paints that use super-fine pigments in a state-of-the-art acrylic emulsion. They dry quickly, are permanent, water resistantand non-clogging, which makes them ideal for a variety of techniques from watercolour effects to stamping. The intensely bold, lightfast colours are extremely fluid, with no need to dilute for airbrushing or calligraphy. Again, these are intermixable with all other Liquitex acrylics and mediums, giving a balanced colour line of opaque and transparent colours.
Heavy Body Acrylics
Heavy Body Acrylic has a thick consistency for both traditional and experimental techniques, great for impasto applications. Its good surface drag provides excellent handling & blending characteristics and the high pigment load produces rich, brilliant, permanent colour. Heavy Body has an exceptionally smooth, buttery consistency and is retains brush strokes and palette knife marks very well. It’s also flexible when dry, and thick films remain free of cracks & chips.
Soft Body Acrylics
Soft Body Acrylic was the original Liquitex acrylic formulation first made in 1956. It’s an extremely versatile artist paint, with a concentrated pigment load producing intense, pure colour. The creamy smooth, pre-filtered consistency ensures good coverage, even-levelling and superb results for a variety of fine art and decorative techniques. They also retain little to no brush marks, which is ideal for fine line detail. Professional grade colours for decorative painters are also available.
Spray Paints
These Professional Spray Paints are a stunning innovation developed for professional artists that combine artist grade pigments with revolutionary water-based technology. Each Spray Paint offers colour brilliance, lighfastness and durability in a unique low odour formulation with a matte finish. Mediums
Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Acrylic mediums are often a difficult concept to grasp until you actually dive into them, but usage can be classified into three distinct categories: Prep, Paint, and Finish.
Surface preparations set the foundation for stable and permanent colour applications by sealing and adding tooth to almost any painting surface. Prep acrylic mediums accommodate all types of work and do not crack or yellow over time.
Within the Paint category, there are several different types medium you can use besides the colour itself to really explore your creativity. These include Fluid Mediums, Gel Mediums and an array of Effects Mediums and texture gels. These allow the artist to adjust the working and optical properties of the paint film to accomplish astonishing variety.
Once your work is complete, you’ll want to protect it with a Finish to ensure it stands the test of time. Varnishes are applied over a completed piece of work to change or unify the surface sheen and protect the painted surface from the effects of the environment and ultraviolet light.
