Make Modern Art With Silk Clay

Discover how to make your very own modern art sculptures in miniature using Silk Clay. Use small lumps of Silk Clay modeled around a Bonsai Wire frame in any shape you desire to create your piece. Afterwards, simply rub the surface with Art Metal Paint and then push your sculpture has a stackable candle holder to finish it off. Read on to discover more.

We would recommend this craft project for adults and children over the age of 7 as there are some small parts involved! Silk Clay is safe to use and completely non-toxic. Check out Silk Clay for yourself with a brief video overview.

What you’ll need:

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut a piece of Bonsai Wire measuring approximately 50cm in length.

Step 2. Shape the Bonsai Wire.

Step 3. Push small pieces of Silk Clay onto the wire.

Step 4. Push a lump of Silk Clay into the candle holder stand.

Step 5. Push the sculpture into the candle holder stand.

Step 6. Paint the sculpture and the stand with a flat foam brush.

Step 7. Leave to dry and you’re done. It’s as simple as that!
