Last Minute Halloween Hacks With POSCA

Organising a spooky party? We’ve got some quick and easy Halloween hacks to try with our POSCA Paint Marker range. These simple solutions are sure to add a little delight to your ghoulish gatherings…

Pumpkin Themed Goodies

Pumpkin Plates

These pumpkin themed Halloween plates can be easily done by small hands and you don’t have to worry about them carving anything. Grab a set of orange paper plates (or paint your own) and a black POSCA pen. Then get the little ones to make safe and simple pumpkin faces!

Why not also try your hand at creating a variety of pumpkin-themed goodies using the same technique? You could make your own goody bags, gift boxes, napkins or balloons in just a few minutes.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even decorate your pumpkin with POSCA Paint Markers. The good news is if you decorate your pumpkin instead of carve it, it will last up until Halloween without going mouldy. If you really have the urge to carve it you can do so nearer to the big day.

Spooky Lighting

We know drama is everything when it comes to a Halloween shindig, so why not set the mood with some seasonal lighting? Use black and gold POSCA Pens to decorate a glass tea-light holder, like these witch’s cats.

If you don’t fancy buying a load of new stuff, get upcycling. Grab your black and white POSCAS and draw some creepy cobwebs onto jam jars.

While you’ve got a black POSCA in your hand, try whipping up these melting ghost candles. If you can draw circles and ovals you can master this. Just draw little ghostly faces onto white candles. They look extra monstrous once the wax starts to melt.

Ghoulish Greetings Cards

These ghost cards are very easy to put together in just a couple of minutes. Simply fold over a piece of white card and cut out a scallop edge at the bottom to create your ghost shape. Finish off by creating your face with some black circles. Great for fun last minute craft activities.
