Watercolours? Acrylics? Oils? Why not all three? These innovative Mixed Media Sketchbooks from Daler-Rowney rivals the heavyweight and puts a revolutionary new set of conveniences for the artist who goes above and beyond the creative scale. This is the sketchbook that dares you to break artistic convention.

Print it, rip it, change it, fix it, twist, erase it. From watercolours to collages, from prints to embossers – mixed media is the beautiful chaos of artistry. With a durable 250gsm weight, this paper will not budge away from anything that you throw at it. With a light texture, create dashing shades and deep contours, whether you are using wet or dry techniques.

Ideal for watercolours and acrylics, this durable edge will keep you venturing and experimenting. Clash charcoal with oils, snarl airbrushes across layers of watercolour and dash flashes of ink across a collage of charm. Unleash your ideas on a sketchbook that will not only take it on board – it will help your imagination endure.

Available in sizes A5 to A2, each spiral-bound pad contains 30 sheets of high quality, acid- free paper. The lightly textured, natural white Optima Mixed Media paper offers excellent tooth for all drawing techniques, such as pencil, pen & ink, pastel and charcoal, and is also ideal for works in watercolour and acrylic paint.

Offering unrivalled versatility, the Optima pad can be used for a number of dry and wet techniques, as well as providing the perfect support for collage and visual journals.

The spiral binding of this pad ensures ease of use, and enables the pad to be folded out flat if required. Having the correct surface is essential in determining the finish of a piece of work. Daler-Rowney has a worldwide reputation for producing the finest artists’ papers, and the new Optima Mixed Media Pad is no exception.

These are excellent quality, sketchbooks of heavy weight paper that will take a battering in any media. It's very white paper, which may not suit everyone - but if you're going to give the paper a duffing as you should (use a lighter weight paper if not), it's not going to be stark white for long.
