Newplast Modelling Clay is a superior quality non-drying, non-setting and waterproof modelling material. It is virtually identical to plasticine and can be reused many times, and is sufficiently pliable to make a wide variety of models but firm enough to retain its shape indefinitely. Newplast Modelling Clay is specified by most animators as being the only fit-for-purpose plasticine available.

Similarly, Newplast Modelling Clay is used extensively across many industries for a wide variety of applications ranging from construction to manufacturing. All Newplast modelling clays are non-toxic and made in the UK. Please note that in colder temperatures, Newplast Modelling Clay may seem firm to the touch or even crumbly, but once brought up to room temperature or heated slightly it will become pliable.

How to Soften Newplast Plastacine

All kinds of plasticine can go hard when removed from packaging and left out as the oils in the plasticine are lost to the atmosphere. However, you can soften newplast plasticine and rework it for further use in a number of ways. The gentle heat of your fingers or using some warm water can help to soften the newplast modelling clay so that you can use it for another project.

Looks ok - not used yet. Packaging needed to be stronger - it had quite a large tear. Fortunately Royal Mail put it in an extra outer bag.

Great moldable clay, generally very soft to use and long-lasting without drying out (7-10 years depending on the quality of the individual bars)

The quality of the product is good, however, it is too stiff and requires a little heating in order to be able to deform and mould into a desired shape.
