The Neocolor II Aquarelle range from Caran d'Ache are a perfect example of the commitment they've shown for over 80 years to producing the highest quality materials for artists in every field, of all skill levels & disciplines.
As would be expected with a wax pastel, these are excellent when used dry, the high concentration of pigments resulting in vibrant, opaque colours.
However, they do truly come alive when used to create beautiful, flowing watercolour effects.
Simply sketch, sprinkle some water (allowing time for the colours to dilute), grab a brush & use them as you would any watercolour.
Alternatively, you can even moisten the paper first, creating a wash or varnish effect.
