About the Store

2013 was a busy year for us, not only did we open our Highbury store, but also our very first branch outside of London... Canterbury! The sole specialised art store in town, we’re the one stop shop for everything you could need including brushes, paints, pencils, easels, portfolios, accessories & more, all at amazing prices! As a part of Whitefriars, we join in with fun activities throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled! Steeped in history, Canterbury features numerous historical sites & tours, including the world-renowned Cathedral founded all the way back in 597AD. Whilst UCA, University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University & Canterbury College all ensure there’s plenty of new blood keeping the city exciting, fresh & on the forefront. As full a day out as you could hope, with a slew of both well-established & newly formed locally owned eateries, shops, museums & galleries to explore, including a wealth of independent businesses operated by members of the growing art community, found throughout the city & nearby towns. As a main hub for public transport in the South East, Canterbury has two separate train stations (East & West), along with a countless number of buses arriving & departing daily through its Bus Station. Recognisable thanks to our colourful signage & exciting, dynamic window displays that instantly draw you in, you’ll find us directly on the High Street, next to yet another local landmark; The Clocktower!
