Available in two popular sizes, our versatile Value Canvas range offers an accessible & affordable working surface ideal for artists of all skill levels.

Made using high-quality cotton, each tightly stretched canvas is prepared with an acid-free white primer & securely stapled to the rear of a lightweight MDF frame (preventing unsightly folds or uneven corners).

Ideal for use with acrylics, oil colour & mixed media applications, their traditional depth offers simple framing & convenient, compact storage.

I originally ordered the value canvas, upon arrival it was badly creased, my first impression was that the wooden centre brace was too close to the canvas, but they immediately sent a replacement which arrived perfectly. I would though state that the wooden centre brace is too close to the canvas which restricts it's flexibility, but I have to bear in mind that the canvas is of the value range and would suit beginners of all ages.

I would have given this 5 stars as it's extremely good value for money. The reason for the 4 star rating is because the central brace of the frame is a little too close to the canvas itself ( it touches it) and that needs to be taken into account when painting as there's suddenly no bounce to the canvas.

These are definitely 'value' items, as the canvas is thin and the stretcher bars are adequate but don't allow for extra tension. The wedges supplied to increase the tension of the canvas surface were useless as they are too thin and too long for the slots in the stretcher bars - they poke through the side of the canvas if you put them in too far but you can't get enough tension if you don't. I ended up spraying both sides of the canvas with water and once dried the canvas was tight enough to use for my school art club. I had ordered 16 of these and they were all the same.
