Able to be both blended & cleaned using simply water, the Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour range from Winsor & Newton is ideal for home, school or shared workspaces.
Specially formulated using modified linseed & safflower oil, they retain the characteristics of a conventional oil colour including colour, consistency, lightfastness, opacity, permanence & drying times whilst negating the need for potentially hazardous solvents.
Suitable for a variety of techniques & applications, these thick, buttery paints are available in 40 vibrant, highly pigmented colours (including 25 single pigments shades for additional brilliance).

This sort of paint is totally new to me, but I like the fact that I don't need solvent to use thin them or clean the brushes, as the fumes would affect my asthma. The pigments are rich and mix well with water. I recommend a bottle of water miscible liquin to speed up drying times if you are used to acrylics (or not very patient). Alternatively, have a few paintings on the go.

They are perfect for my use. I love oil paints but cannot stand the smell of turpentine hanging round. I am a messy person and its so easy to get the paint off clothes, hands etc.

Great paint as easy to use and mix with other colours. Being water mixable means that brushes can be washed clean easily and the paint can be washed off most fabrics.
