We paid for more expensive oils than usual. Hard to notice a lot of difference except that some oil came out of the tube before the paint.

Having been painting for nearly forty years, I have always used Winsor and Newton Underpainting White as a basis in all my work but it is now difficult to obtain and I was delighted to discover it to be a standard listing with Cowling and Wilcox.

Bought W&N artists oil colour Indathrene blue. Have not used it yet and have not used this colour before so am looking forward to trying it out. It is used by an artist friend so thought I would give it a try. This website was the least expensive even with postage.

I am very happy with the different tubes of paint I ordered. They are all of good quality, although I am aware that there are different grades of oils, and what I ordered are certainly better than entry level whilst not necessarily being the very best available. You pays yer money and takes yer choice.

Ordered several Windsor and Newton oil colours - only problem was with Jaune Brilliante which is supposed to be a bright yellow but is in fact a flesh colour!!
