The Da Vinci Maestro2 Hog Bristle series is a stunning range of brushes from Da Vinci. Each brush features bristles which are worked deeply into the ferrule. Only through such bristle length can the positive and enduring effect of the interlock production come fully into its own, which is crucial for the elasticity, springiness and longevity of these bristle artist brushes.
Da Vinci Maestro2 Brushes have been developed for use with oil colours but can also be used with alkyds and acrylic colours. The care and attention to detail in the making of the Maestro 2 bristle brushes perfectly demonstrates the best traditions of craftsmanship combined with the clever technical advances from the famous brush company Da Vinci, founded in the 19th Century.
The shape allows the user to create masterful wide strokes as well as finer paint marks when turned onto its edge. Da Vinci use Chungking bristles in the manufacture of Maestro2 brushes which are white and especially strong and will cope with intensive use. The bristles are named after the Chinese city of Chungking.
Bristle brushes tend to show the painterly paint marks and can be used for oil paints, acrylic paints as well as being popular for fresco and mural painting.
