All 50 pages are perforated on the inner edge, making it easy to remove any pages should you wish. The heavyweight 170gsm paper inside features a lightly-grained texture, making it perfectly suited for use with a range of mediums and techniques including pencil, pen, ink & even light watercolour work.
Designed for longevity, every sheet is acid-free & archival quality, actively helping to prevent yellowing or environmental damage over the course of time (if kept in the proper conditions).

Quality. Normally they're for sketching, but this had to be good, as it's going to be a scrap book celebrating the life of a very special person. As an amature artist, I think they'd approve of this idea, but it's got to be good hence the quality product.

When youj remove the sticky information label from the front cover, it takes some of the black coating of the cover with it and leaves a ghost patch on the rest.Therefore, you end up with a ver poor quality, soiled, 'second'.

The hard covers are bowed and this seems to be a recurring theme with Winsor & Newton sketch books. Daler Rowney do not have this problem.

The product is ok. Paper quality is not the best but not the worse either. My issue lies with the hardbound cover. It is easily damaged and warped. One of my orders arrived damaged already but even the ones I didn’t put a complaint about are not perfect. The edges tend to bend and buckle and the actual cover scratches and marks easily. If you are a bit of an OCD this might not be for you but if you are just after the paper inside, this sketchbook is decent. I have done light watercolour washes and the paper held fine.

This book looks very smart and so far the removable pages stay in when you turn the page. I have used my pro markers in the book and the ink does go through the page you draw on leaving the back of the page unusable (the same with sharpies) but it doesn't leak onto the next page unless i use my blender pen, then it leaks through a little but overall in terms of ink leakage this has been better then other hard back books i have brought in whsmith. I would recommend this book.
