What is a Table Box Easel?
The table box easel is a small portable easel that folds away and can be set up on a table top. The working angle can be adjusted if you still want to stand and paint too. It is also a versatile easel as when flat it can be used for drawing on paper or card without a drawing board.

For over 230 years, Daler-Rowney has been manufacturing some of the finest art materials, supporting artists at every step of their journey. The Edinburgh Table Box Easel from Daler-Rowney is elegant and practical, made from hard-wearing FSC oiled beech wood. It features dove-tailed joints, brass finished hardware and a leather carrying handle. The canvas support is adjustable to any angle between vertical and horizontal, making it ideal for watercolour as well as oil and acrylic work. It also utilises metal rails as lid supports, rather than wood.
The box has removable dividers, to make the layout very flexible, and the carry handle makes it easily portable. The maximum canvas this easel can hold is 43cm (16.9”), which equates to A3 portrait size. When set up the maximum height of the Edinburgh Table Box Easel is 62.2.cm, with a width of 27cm and a depth of 37.8cm. Its folded dimensions are 27 x 37.8 x 8.9 cm. The total weight is 1.6kg (3.5lb). Paints and canvas are sold separately.
