A world famous pencil, for good reason!
Blackwing pencils were originally introduced by the Eberhard Faber Company in the 1930s. Their cult following included John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones, who proudly used Blackwings to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters.
Even with this dedicated following, Blackwings became victim to cost-cutting measures in the ‘90s & were reluctantly discontinued. Despite this however, they proved to be unmatched in the artistic world, with devotees willing to pay as much as $40 a pencil!
In 2010, the Blackwing brand was revived for a new generation of artists, writers, musicians & creatives of all kinds!
A unique & iconic aspect of Blackwing pencils, synonymous with quality, are their rectangular erasers.
Each pencil features a specially designed ferrule, to extend or replace the eraser when it gets worn down.
