About The Author
Born in Milan in 1947, Giovanni Civardi trained as a sculptor, portrait artist & illustrator at the Free Life-Study School of the Accademia di Brera whilst simultaneously studying medicine & surgery. As a professional illustrator, he produced commissions for a variety of publications including newspapers, magazines & book covers for over a decade.
Pursuing his fascination in medical anatomy & the human form as depicted in artwork, Civardi would put on one-man exhibitions whilst travelling to France & Denmark.
This extensive experience in anatomy, life drawing & portraiture led to a career teaching others in schools & institutions over many years, further leading to numerous published works in which Civardi's experiences can truly shine & be brought into focus.
