Our exclusive hog brush set from Da Vinci contains five fantastic quality hog brushes in a variety of sizes, at a price point that’s perfect for students and artists on a budget. Each brush has a flat, square end, which is ideal for producing bold strokes, filling wide spaces, and blending colours.
The edges of these flat brushes can be used to create fine lines, straight edges and stripes. Long haired flat brushes such as these are also perfect for varnishing.
The hog hair bristles are extremely resilient and flexible. Each individual bristle has a broad, sturdy base and a tapered tip, which splits into several fine filaments, giving an excellent capacity for holding paint. The stiffness of hog bristles provides good flow and texture, ease of blending, and ensures even application.
This set contains brushes in the following Da Vinci standard sizes, from smallest to largest: No. 4, 8, 10, 12 and 16.
