These are useful for handwriting teaching to demonstrate how pressure can change stroke. I've bought them several times before from various outlets. They are relatively firm (and come in two firmnesses in the pack anyway) and often used for copperplate-style modern calligraphy. Like all brush pens they produce a slightly ragged line on the side away from the tip when under pressure.
