An inexpensive alternative to stretched cotton canvas, the Carton Entoilé Round Canvas Board from Clairefontaine is comprised of 100% cotton canvas affixed to a rigid cardboard base.
Primed with a universal white coating to prevent paint sinkage, this canvas board offers excellent adhesion of colour and provides the ideal support for a variety of media, including Gouache, Oil Paint and Acrylic Colour. Each canvas board has a thickness of 3mm, available in 20cm, 30cm and 40cm diameters.

From a painting point of view, I suppose this board was OK. However, I was using it for craft and found my materials were harder to stick to a board than to a framed canvas, which is what I usually work with, My fault I guess, but one has to try things.

Very good for the price, with time or the weather i'm not sure, the bigger ones tend to bend. I'm still looking for a goo way to frame them, but they look great by themselves :)

As I haven't used the round canvas yet, I can't realistically rate the goods. However, based on past products, confidently assume that the quality will be good for purpose, certainly adequate for a young teenager to practice on.
