Loxley MDF Drawing Boards are specifically designed to function as an inexpensive alternative to plastic boards that still achieves a high level of quality and warp-resistance. They are made from medium density fibreboard and have a beautifully firm and flat drawing surface, perfect for sketching, technical drawing and fieldwork.
They are also ideal for using as a surface for stretching watercolour paper when using gum tape. Use a drawing board clip for fastening your paper to the board.

In retrospect I think its quite expensive for what it is. I feel I paid too much for what is a piece of MDF with the corners rounded off...especially as I had to vanish it to protected from water damage and in an attempt to extend it's longevity.

The product was great and it was exactly what I wanted, but the only downside was that the product came damaged with some of the edges being dented, but it was packed thoroughly so it was likely a problem with the carriers. All in all, if I need to place another order again i gladly will.

I was surprised at how think the board was as I want to stretch paper on it and am not sure if it will warp when wet. So I might seal it beforehand.
