The Faber-Castell 9000 Pencil Design Set contains 12 Castell 9000 pencils in hardness grades 5B - 5H, which are on the firmer end of the hardness spectrum. This makes them ideally suited for high detail design work. Each pencil has an environmentally safe water-based coating and is extra break-resistant due to SV bonding. These pencils are built to last. Castell 9000 Artist Pencils
The Castell 9000 is a genuinely classic pencil, launched by Count Alexander von Faber-Castell in 1905. Its quality and finely graduated degrees of hardness have made it a firm favourite with artists and illustrators. Its lead is fully bonded with the wood surround and is therefore particularly break-resistant. It's available in 16 different degrees of hardness, from a delicate grey hue to a deep graphite black, making it ideal for all technical and artistic applications.
