More Information
Winsor & Newton Black Indian Ink is a superior shellac solution that can be mixed with water but is waterproof once dry, which makes it perfect for drawing, pen and wash work.
The water resistant ink formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution and is widely used by calligraphers, illustrators, designers and artists. It's typically used with a dip pen or brush and most Winsor & Newton colours can also be used with an airbrush.
Paper or Illustration board is the most commonly used surface for Drawing Inks. As a general rule, the paper surface needs to be smooth to allow the pen to move over it quickly. Bristol Board, Smooth Cartridge Paper or Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper are ideal surfaces.
