Traditionally a combination of drying oil, resin, and a thinner or solvent, Varnish is a transparent liquid which dries to form a hard, protective film.

Tried this instead of Professional series matt varnish - somehow doesn't look as matt as the Professional series, but this is splitting hairs - it's a good varnish, but for gallery pieces I'd probably opt for the Professional series.

Excellent general purpose varnish with quick drying time. So several thin coats can be applied in a day.

I use this varnish to reinforce and protect paper and thin card skins applied to card models. The varnish does it's job well, but the following points need to be made. As with all aerosols spraying must be carried out in a seperate space with ventilation. The odour is particularily strong with this product, but will clear after a few hours. The problem with spraying paper and thin card is of course that the material gets very wet, which could lead to problems of stretching and balooning of the fabric. I now now to apply two coats of spray from a distance, leaving time for the paper to dry fully between coats. A positive effect is than no false colouring is deposited, unlike some sprays I used from different manufacturers in the past.
