Cowling & Wilcox Square Deep Edge Canvas is made from 3.6cm thick lightweight spruce wood and 100% pure cotton. This medium grain canvas has been produced for use with all forms of acrylic, oil and watercolour, as well as many other mixed media applications.
Our Square Deep Edge Canvas is available in 8 sizes, ranging from 5 x 5" to 40 x 40". The canvas has a weight of 350gsm, is primed with three layers of gesso primer and is also acid free, ensuring that your paint colours retain their vibrancy. Incredible value for money.

Despite being a basic canvas I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I’m using as a practice piece so it’s never intended to be anything other than. For those reasons I am really happy with this canvas. Additionally, it doesn’t have the annoying cross bar stretcher thankfully.

Product is fine for the price. The packaging however was poor and appeared to be 2 flattened boxes stuck together with parcel tape. No strengthened corners or protection. The parcel arrived bashed but luckily the canvas was undamaged.
